Surfing in Second Life on the Costa Rica Sims

Monday, February 16th, 2009

Well, that’s not exactly what I want to do during summer, but during cold winter, it’s fun: taking the surf board into the virtual waves of Second Life. I did on the Costa Rica Sims, and it was almost as good as in real. No saltwater in the nose, no sharks ;D

maybe you all have heard about the terrible earthquake in Costa Rica this week. Fortunately, it didn’t affect the Cobano region and Santa Teresa at all. Zopilote RAID Racing Team in Normandy

Friday, August 29th, 2008

A great but muddy adventure race competition was held the last weekend in Orbec / Normandy, and our Zopilote Surfcamp racing team took part in a very well organised, adventureous competition. The race included mountainbiking, trail running, orientation running, kayaking, bike & run as well as shooting. Our team was almost 7 hours on the track, and arrived wet, muddy and very happy at the place de la mairie in Orbec.

The highlight of the event was clearly the kayak route, but for others a head-on jump from the bike into one of the many deep mudholes. However, everyone enjoyed the great after-event party with good food and dance. Who says the French can’t party? Oh yeah, they can!
