Billygoat Productions won many awards as an independent production company known for high-quality surf films such as Insanity, Triple C, Side B, The Moment, The O’Neill Experience, H.I.C.’s Rise & Shine, BLUE CRUSH, These Are Better Days, Peaches, Revelation, Iratika, Poetic Silence, Because, The Modus Mix, and our newest release which was recently accepted into X-dance, THE MYSTIC.
Billygoat films capture over 25% of all surf videos sold worldwide and have been nominated for over 24 awards since 1996 and have received 5 viewer awards.
In the summer of 2002, Bill sold the title rights of his film BLUE CRUSH to Universal Pictures for their smash hit movie release, which brought in nearly 100 million worldwide. Bill was also hired to shoot all the behind the scenes for the movie which can be seen on the bonus features of the DVD.
Surf movies have been around since the late 50s, starting with the overblown Gidget flicks that detailed little about what was really happening in surf culture.
