Wave destruction everywhere in the world

Sometimes it is a fact of life: waves come and disappear. But sometimes this is a consequence of human behaviour.

One place that suffered a wave loss was the Basque city of Mundaka. Known for a perfect wave, a local ship constructing project destroyed the sand bank which was necessary to produce the swell. As they moved the ship out of the dock, the river ground was deepened and the banks destroyed.

After one year of no wave production, the wave seems to come back. But when will the next ship come along out of the dock? A similar fate may happen in Jeffries Bay, South Africa, a very known location for supertubes. A large hotel building will change the wind and sand depositing - right in front of the J-Bay waves.
