I posted yesterday a list of things you should / could bring with you while travelling in Costa Rica and surfing with Zopilote. One gadget I shortly presented was the Palm LiveDrive, a very useful tool I love on travel. Why?

• you have everything in one place: notes, emails, your pictures, your music, enough storage to play a movie (4GB), a calendar and and and…
• it’s small (6.5 x 6.5 x 4.0 inches)
• synchronize all your data at home with your PC or Mac
• connect to the internet via built-in WLAN
• download, store and empty all your SD-stored pictures from your digital camera with one click to the harddrive of LiveDrive
• use your LiveDrive as an external drive when connecting to PC’s in an internet café, e.g. to upload images to your travel blog
• record audio with the built-in voice recorder
• watch all your files on the big LiveDrive monitor
• write Word documents or Excel sheets or PowerPoint presentations, if you really need…

I like this tool very much and I used it in Africa, Australia, South America and Europe. Additionaly to the Palm LiveDrive, I purchased an Aluminium hard cover to protect it and an external mini keyboard to write text fast.
