Costa Rica weather in the rainy season
As you probably know, Costa Rica has a dry and a wet season (see here for more information). Many people ask us about the weather during the wet season like Maria:
“Hi! I am thinking of heading down there for one week in July to learn to surf. What will the weather be like at that time? Thank you in advance for your help. Cheers,”
What we say:
July is in the rainy season. On a typical day it is nice during the day with clouds in the afternoon and rain at night. In October, the weather changes into the dry season - but this is maybe the month with the most rain at the pacific coast. September or November are much nicer.
