Oakura house matters - longboards in the garden
After the first beach trip in Oakura, I didn’t feel confident that we would have better weather for the next day. It was stormy, somehow rainy and not warm at all. The best idea for the moment was to make coffee, and that changed a lot.

We sat down at the veranda to read and to talk, to expand our legs or just smile a little bit. I liked the house, she a little bit less. I guess that’s because I don’t care about disorder and carpets, but she just hates that.
She liked the surf she had. No big waves, but constant one after another. And she felt tired, which was an even better sign. She would sleep well, and she would be in good mood. I liked her when she was balanced, on and off the board. Balance, a magic word?
The best from this house was around the house - the garden. Plants everywhere, like surf boards. Old ones, used ones, broken ones. And in between the sleepy dog. I went to the kitchen for another cup of coffee, and when I returned, she was sleeping, with her head lying at the wooden table.
