Corcovado National Park

Parque Nacional Corcovado is situated in the South West of Costa Rica on the Osa Peninsula, south of Zopilote Surfcamp. It is maybe the best known and ‚most valuable’ National Park of Costa Rica: around 400 km² space, and very diversified in terms of biodiversity.

The Corcovado National Park is the largest primary forest in Central America and consists of lowland tropical rainforest, montane and cloud forest and different types of swamps and mangrove forest.

If you want to visit the park, you’ll have to make reservations. You can use two tracks (coastal and inland) and several ranger stations for stay overnight. For more information see here…
The park may close during the wet season (July to November) because of floods.
